I have always loved the fall, especially when the leaves turn. I think there are few things more beautiful than a tree full of bright yellow, orange or red leaves. This is why I make my leaf bowls with a fall theme. I try to capture the natural beauty that is the fall.
This blog features my nature inspired creations. My bowls are assembled by hand, piece by piece. Each leaf is individually cut from the clay. The patterns for the different leaves are all drawn by me while observing the real leaf, no cookie cutters here! The bowls come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Each is glazed by hand with a brush so that each leaf is slightly different from the next, and so they look more realistic.
I also believe in selling quality pottery at reasonable prices. As an artist, I really admire pottery that I find out and about, and am always disappointed when I see the price tag. Everyone’s time is invaluable, and even though I am just as busy as the next person, I strive to keep my prices at a place that I think are fair and I feel I would be willing to pay if I were the customer.
